Abhishek Singh and Sunayana Saha got married last year. The two are pursuing their Master’s in the US. Amit Das got married as well this past year. Anupama (Bio Sci) is married. So are Anu (MMS), Mrudula and Sandhya (C6). Anjani Kalyan and Pavithra got married in February’03. Kusuma Rani (EEE) got married in May. Sirisha (CS) is the latest to get married she got married in June. Vivek Chahaochharia and Priti Jain are now Mr and Mrs. Chhaochharia. Shiv Kalyan is also married. Sairam and Ramya got married in July’03. Meenakshi Viswanathan also got married in July’03. Rajadurai Murugan also got married the same month. Payal Tandon is engaged and soon to get married.

If you are married and your name isn’t on the list you owe us all a huge party and more importantly where’s the invite??

Vasanth Kumar Mehta (C6), who was teaching in the Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt’s engineering college, is currently managing the IT center of the Mutt. He is getting married to Sumathi.

Quite a few decided that they had not had enough of studying and went from School to College and then Back to Graduate School

Anand Krishnakumar (Instr), engineer at large, is pursuing his Masters in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Vishwanath (vichu) and Amudhan Vel (ammu) are pursuing their Masters at North Carolina State University. Ketan Bhatt is doing his PhD at NCSU.

Aravindh (aavi) has finished his Masters and has now enrolled for PhD at the Computer Science Dept. in NCSU.

Saurabh Kumar, Ram Koundinya and Anush Srivatsan (Gujilee) are pursuing their Masters at the University of South California. Saurabh’s has planned to stick to USC for his Phd too.

Mayur Shah, Vivek Iyer, Arvind (heman), Payal Guha and Kaushik (kottai) are pursuing their Masters at the Arizona State University. Kumar Gautam (KG) who was pursuing his PhD at the same univ has transferred to Purdue. Gautam Upadhyaya is also at Purdue doing his PhD. Payal Guha has finished her Masters and is currently in Bangalore working for Tejas Networks.

Sagnik Nandy, Tulika Agarwal, Urvashi Rao and Girija are all at UC San Diego

Last heard Sagnik was doing an internship for IBM.

G.V. Rangan is in University of Georgia Athens doing his Masters in Chemical Engg.

V Rajesh (fundoo rajesh) who was at UC Riverside has transferred to UIUC for his Masters in CS. Ashish Garg is at UC Santa Barbara

Shuvendu Dang is at UT Arlington pursuing his PhD in Computer Science and V Pradeep (EEE) is also over there doing his Masters ion Computer Science

Shampa Kandoi is pursuing her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her area of research is Catalysis and Surface Science.

Malaiappan Srinivasan (malai-B4A2529) is doing his Master’s in Water and Environmental Engineering at the University of Surrey, Guilford Surrey, UK.

Pramila Rani is at Vanderbilt Univ doing her Masters in Industrial Engg.

Asad Iqbal is at University of Arizona doing his PhD and has recently cleared his PhD qualifiers

Arvind Aiyar and Rengarajan (both EEE) are at UMCP doing their Master’s program.

Jeevanand (Ande) is at Oregon State University pursuing the Masters Program in Computational Finance.

Deepak (day-scholar) is doing his ME Software Systems from BITS Pilani and is also working as a TA at the CSD. Rohit Gupta and Vikas Mallik are also at BITS.

These guys decided they did not want anything more to do with Heat Transfer and Digitial Circuitry and so are studying at some of the best B-schools in India

Ashutosh Sharma (ashu-A7056), Sravan Kumar ('97– gold medallist), Suhail Kasim (suka) and B Karthik (Poo/Beaker-A5) are having the time of their life in India’s best business school – IIM Ahmedabad.

Kunal and Rohit Kumar Choraria are doing their post graduate program at IIM Calcutta. Oops Kolkata.

K E Sriram (duck) who was also with Orbitech for a year is now doing his post graduate program from MDI Gurgaon giving Sharat Krishna (shark) company. Last year, Shark spent about three months, enhancing his management skills at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, on an exchange program from MDI.

Vasanth Kumar Mehta (C6), who was teaching at the Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt's engineering college, is currently managing Mutt's IT Center.

Haricharan is working with PowerComm Tech in Hyderabad.

A Gururaja (guru-A4) who was working with Hyundai Motor India as a Business Analyst has moved to i2 Technologies in Bangalore. Vivek Chhaochharia and Priti Jain are also at i2.

Sriramakrishnan (SRK) is at TI, Bangalore and K Sriram (MMS) is working with Orbitech as a project leader.

JVR Kishore Babu is in Plano, Texas  working for HCL Perot Systems.

Keshab Koch,Amit Das, Sakshi Gupta and Himanshu Agarwal are all working with National Semiconductor

B.S. Santosh (santy) is in Intel, Bangalore.

Rithesh Prasad (A7042) and Mohit Gupta (Tegu) are working with Adobe in Delhi and news from certain reliable sources say they are doing pretty well for themselves.

Salima Isani (A3097), worked with CAIR at Bangalore for short period. Now, she is working with Wipro on System-On-Chip Design.

Satya Sai Phani and Chaitanya (both C6) are currently working with INSEAD’s research division at Fountainbleau, France.

Anand Natarajan (A3099) and K Subramanyam (A3116) work with the Daimler Chrysler Research Center in Bangalore 

Rajadurai Murugan (thee-A4219) who started his career with Visteon India is now currently with NCR at Pondicherry.

Saurabh Mohanty (Monty) works as an MIS Executive with Epicenter Technologies in Mumbai.

Manisha Malla (A7008) works with Novell in Bangalore.

Srikanth (ulleri) works with Hughes Software Systems in Bangalore. 

Vivek Nityananda (Nata) is continuing his research at IISc Bangalore’s Ecological Sciences Department.

Lalith Krishnan (laloo) is now with MRF in Chennai as their Product Manager.

Jaikrishnan Sampath (jaiki), Varadarajan (varadu), Somasundaram (blade-don’t dare to ask him why he was called blade), Meenakshi Vishwanathan, C Kiran (CK) are working with Infosys Technologies in Chennai.

Shashikant Khandelwal (Khandoo) and Arvind Sundarajan (Susi) are at Stanford University. Abhijit Pethe is over there too pursuing his PhD.

Prasanna Venkatesh Kannan (PV) completed his Master’s in Computer Engineering at UC Santa Barbara and is right now working with Micron Semiconductors in Singapore, a branch of Micron Technologies.

Ajit Sharma (A3037) is currently doing his MS in Analog VLSI at Oregon State.

Shankar Ajay (shaq) is pursuing his Master’s in Bio-informatics at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Sam Satriani (Sushil Agnel Mathews) is pursuing his postgraduate program at the Loyola Institute of Business Administration at Chennai and has just finished an internship at Citibank, Chennai.

Ram Kumar and Hariram (both MMS) are working with Oracle in Hyderabad.

Sajan Jacob is working with TCS, Trivandrum.

Anand Morzaria (mooz) and Ananth Vyas were working as Operations Analyst with J P Morgan Chase in Mumbai but as of now both are off the radar. Last heard they were in Hyderabad.

Sreenivasan (A3) and Ganarajan (faku), who started off an exciting and challenging career with Schlumberger Oilfield Services, are now in Mumbai and Kuwait respectively.

Sreenivasa Raghavan (naamka), Venkatavaradhan (pappu) and Anjani Kalyan work with Sun Microsystems in Bangalore. As are Shameek Chakraborthy (Subo) and Samik Das (DJ).

Rahul Patil, Jasmeet Singh Dhall and Kannan Muthusamy work with Wipro in Bangalore.

Srijan and Rahul Lahoti have made it to Microsoft and are ready to fill up your hard disks with even more bugged software

Karthikeyan C.S. (kaka of Backstage fame) is lending his expertise to Satyam GE in Hyderabad.

K B Balasubramaniam and Uma Raghuraman (A7044) work with Orbitech Solutions Ltd. in Chennai.

Anand Narayanan (anna) works with I-flex solutions ltd in Bangalore. After completing a product implementation in Nigeria, he is currently in Bulgaria.

Sumit Gupta who was previously with SteelAge India is now working with General Motors, Baroda.

Vignesh who did his Masters in CS form Purdue is now looking forward to work with Verizon USA

Shilpa Gupta, who was working as a member of the TVS R&D team at TVS MOTOR COMPANY, is currently pursuing her Masters in Industrial Engineering at the Arizona State University.

Aparna Dev, married and well settled in Pune, is working for Cognizant Tech. Solns. at Pune. She works as a Programmer Analyst on IBM Mainframes and is currently on a project for the telecom giant AT&T.

Rati Agarwal works with Texas Instruments in Bangalore as an Engineer for the Design and Development team. She works on Embedded systems focussing on Digital Still Cameras. Nikila also works with TI as IC Design Engineer, her area of work being VLSI.

Sirisha works with Wipro Technologies at the Electronics City in Bangalore as a Systems Engineer in J2EE Technology. She is a Sun certified Java programmer now and a proud recipient of the “Feather in my cap” award for exemplary performance in her project.

Roopa Raghunathan and Divya Chandrasekaran are pursuing their Masters in the Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. Their area of research is Low Power VLSI Design. Ranjini Sridharan and Aruna Blasubramanian who are also pursuing their Masters with the same department are specialising in Reconfigurable Computing and Graphs & Algorithms, Wireless Networks respectively.

Subhashini Chandrasekar is pursuing her Masters in Environmental Engineering focussing on Water Quality Control at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ms. Usha Viswanathan is pursuing her Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering specialising on Embedded Systems at the University of Iowa.

Ashvini Ganesh is pursuing her Masters in Electrical Engineering at the University of Kansas, specialising in Optical Communications.

Payal Tandon is currently working as a Materials and Processes Engineer with Honeywell Space Systems, Glendale, Arizona.

Sriranjani Srinivasan is pursuing her Masters in Management Information Systems at the University of South Florida at Tampa, her area of work being Software Testing and Java Native Interface.

Shoumi Das is pursuing her Masters at the Electrical Engineering Department of the University of Maryland, College Park, specialising in Electrophysics.

Suganthi Padmanabhan and Supriya work with Wipro in Bangalore as Systems Engineer in Embedded Systems.

Priyanka Agarwal works as a Design Engineer in VLSI IC Designing at National Semiconductor Bangalore.

Shakshi Gupta works with Alcatel in Delhi as an Analyst in Telecom and Messaging Systems

Garima Sahai (A7005) graduated from Stanford and has joined the company that helps all of us in all our search and research - Google Co.

Veena K John is currently working as a Linux Systems Administrator and Technical Support for webhosting companies in Poornam Info Vision Pvt Ltd in Cochin.

Naveen (chaco) is working with Wipro, Hyderabad.

Satish Reddy (pandu) and Nithya Mohan are working with Intelligroup, Hyderabad.

Shyamal Mehta is presently working with Sasken Bangalore after being a freelancer with TI, Bangalore and then with HCL Noida for a short while.

Shabbir Bhati is currently working with Juno Online at Hyderabad.

Arun Natraj is now with Intel Bangalore. He was working for Sun Microsystems.

Ashwin Krishnamoorthy is now in IIM Lucknow. Previously, he was working with Novell Bangalore.
