Aparna Seshasayi (a.k.a
Appu) completed her Masters in EE. She is currently at
Honeywell, Bangalore, India. Although Instrumentation is her
passion, she also spends time pursuing her interests in
poetry and literature. Aparna is married to Pratap
Parashuram who also works for Honeywell. Appu, the
workaholic has learnt to spare time for her family and
friends after her fast-track love affair and marriage to
Pratap.
Praba Subramanian
is pursuing her Masters in Public Policy at UCLA. After a
six-year long courtship period - before, during and after
her Pilani days, Praba finally got married to her soul mate,
Ram, in 1998. Praba & Ram have a baby girl named Kirthana.
Aside from family and friends, Praba is also interested in
understanding health policy issues that affect children and
the elderly.
Prathibha
Narayanan (a.k.a Prathi) works for J.Manheimer in New
Jersey. Prathibha is married to Kumar Venkataraman (a.k.a
Kamal ’88). Kumar & Prathibha have a baby boy named
Shashwath. Prathibha has always been the help-line for her
friends and the fact that she knows almost everyone in her
town says something about her ability to reach out to
people.
Anuradha
Chandramohan is pursuing her Masters in Computer
Science. She is currently at Intel, New Jersey. Anu and her
husband Harish Mahalingam ('86), have a baby girl
named Ananya. Anu as usual, is fun to talk to and gives her
honest brutal opinion about everything under the sun. The
energetic Anu finds time to manage her career, family and a
part-time education!
Nishi Mittal –
Sadly, we lost a beloved friend a couple of years ago.
Although, we have nothing to say about what Nishi has been
up to, we still have fond memories. We only wish that the
bubbly Nishi were around to share her life with us.
Nandhini GanapathyRaman
(a.k.a Nandu) completed her M.S in Computer Science and
is now at Intel Corporation, Portland, Oregon. Nandhini is
married to Karthik.
Smitha Menon
is in California working on a state welfare project. Smitha
is married to Shailendra Sadera (’92).
Mathangi
Gopalakrishnan (a.k.a matha) is married to Venkatesh Atul Bhattaram (‘90).
Priya
Ramachandran is pursuing MA in Film & Video at the
American University, Washington, D.C. Priya is married to
Tojo Thomas.
Lakshmi Krishnan
(a.k.a Lux) works for GE Financial, Hyderabad & Bangalore,
India. Lux is as always the fun-loving, inquisitive, and
experimental gal that we knew in BITS. Lux writes in, “ I am
having fun at the job, and it is really challenging and
rewarding!” She is soaring to new heights in her career and
may well tie the knot soon!
Sharda Ramdas
works for Citibank NA in London, UK. She is married to
K. Lakshminarayanan (’89).
Karthik Ramani (a.k.a
Karamani) is pursuing his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical
Sciences at SUNY in Buffalo, New York.
Kaarthik
Sivakumar (a.k.a Kash) graduated with an M.S in Computer
Science from the University of Delaware. He works for
Ericsson IP Infrastructure in Rockville, Maryland.
Congratulations to Kash who recently tied the knot with
Ashwini ( ’97).
M O Bhadrinarayanan
(a.k.a. MOB) completed his MSc in Computer Science from
Queens University in Kingston, Canada. He works at the IBM
Toronto Lab in Canada.
Srikumar (a.k.a
Sriks) completed his M.S in Pharmacy at the National
University of Singapore. He is pursuing a PhD in
Pharmaceutics at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
Preetam Dandapani
(a.k.a Thom) graduated with an M.S from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison. He works for Oracle as a Software
Developer in the Advanced Planning and Scheduling group.
Preetam is happily married to Veena Jaganathan.
Venkatesh Jayaraman (a.k.a
despo) graduated with an MS in CIS from the New Jersey
Institute of Technology. He is now a Consultant at Art
Technology Group. Despo says “ Most of my consulting work is
in Seattle, but I love to come back to New Jersey on the
weekends and take a drive to NY City and just have a good
time!” Party On Despo!
After graduating with an
M.S Degree in Computer Science from NorthEastern University
in 1999, Mani Sundaram (a.k.a ManiSu) has been at
Stratus Technologies in Maynard, Massachusetts. Mani & Meena
(‘93) tied the knot in July 2000. Mani, the
VP-Fundraising of the BITSAA New England Chapter writes, “I
love the New England area, am actively involved in BITSAA
activities, learning French, participate in short-distance
marathons and just enjoying life”.
P. Chandramouliswaran (a.k.a
Kocha) completed his M.S in Mechanical Engineering at
Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. After graduation
in 1999, he worked for Cummins Engine Co., Columbus, Indiana
for about 3 years. Kocha is now pursuing his M.B.A at the
University of Chicago, Illinois .He says “ I am still on the
lookout for eligible mates”- Take a cue girls, this is one
eligible bachelor!
Bhaskar
Viswanathan (a.k.a Mami, Byle) completed his Maters in
Pharmacy at BITS,Pilani and a Masters Diploma in Business
Administration (Marketing & Finance). He now works as a
Product Development Executive in Oral Care Business with HLL,
Mumbai, India.
Vinodh Shankar
completed his M.S in Operations Research & Industrial
Engineering from University of Texas at Austin. Vinodh and
his wife Deepa Nagarajan work for FedEx in Memphis,
Tennessee.
Mukund
Ramachandran (MRC) moves to Yahoo! Hot Jobs, NYC to take
up the position of Assoc. Product Marketing Manager. He has
been working for Yahoo! since 2001 after graduating from
Thunderbird University. Good Luck with your new job Mukund

Rajneesh Raina is
the latest among the long line of our batchmates who have
tied the knot recently. He was married on Nov 27th, 2002 to

Sang) completed her Masters in Telecommunications from
the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is
currently at Lucent Technologies India Ltd, Hyderabad India.
Lately, she has been touring the US and catching up with old
friends. Sang says “I’m enjoying life with her parents in
India”.
Gayathri Belapurkar (M.K.
Gayathri a.k.a. Gui), works as Senior Security
Consultant for SenaSystems, Inc. a boutique firm that
specializes in Information Security Engineering in New
Jersey. She is married to Abhijit Belapurkar.
Sripriya
Krishnaswamy (a.k.a Sripi) is currently at XO
Communications, Dallas, Texas. She is married to Prakash
Kumar. Sripriya writes, “ I would love to hear from ex-BITSians
from our batch.”
Kavitha Venkatesan (a.k.a
VK) is pursuing her Ph.D in Bioinformatics at Boston
University in Boston, Massachusetts. She is married to
Ashok Ramu (a.k.a Trash,’91). Kavitha is as usual,
scintillating the culturally active Boston audience with her
vocal chords. With a dream come true marriage, she travels
the continent with a laptop and a PhD almost in the bag!
Kavitha Raghunathan (a.k.a
RK) currently works for Oracle Corporation in Redwood
Shores, California. She is married to Balaji Bashyam
('89). She finds time for her husband, chef-like
cooking, pottery, stained glass works and crafts, dance,
academic classes and other things -her energy knows no
bounds!!
Padmapriya Vijayasarathi
(a.k.a PP) works for Northrop Gruman in Atlanta,
Gainesville. She shares her love for her beloved Srikanth
Raghunathan (’89) with her pet dog. PP stands pretty and
charming on her own two feet – a long way from the PP we
knew leaning on somebody and trying to hide her dimples
behind somebody's back. Radha quips, “ Too many people still
continue to ask if PP is still available. Planning on
scribbling not available on all my photos of PP to save my
breath.”
Priya Vishwambaran
as always, is generous and friendly, exuding happiness and
can't resist making the rest of the world the same. Right
now, she is cruising the Silicon Valley freeways in gleeful
independence.
Radhika Rengaswamy
captivated the audience in San Jose with her Bharathanatyam
performance recently. She completed her M.S in Computer
Engineering from the University of Buffalo, New York in 1999
and been with Cisco in San Jose ever since. Happily married
and adored by her doting man (Ravi Josyula), she looks like
a skinny, vibrant and cheerful model .She is vacationing in
Germany right now.
Radha Thothadri
completed her Masters in EE & CS from the University of
Ohio, Athens. She has been with Motorola since her
graduation in 1999. She writes, “ I moved from Motorola,
Schaumburg, Illinois to Motorola, Michigan after my marriage
to Nikhil the “Lord of the Ring” I seldom wear!! All my
wingies are still the same, changed for the better, happier
and more mature since our BITSIAN days”
Soumya Sampath (a.k.a
Sosa) is still the life of any crowd, ambitious and full
of energy as she has always been. Found her soul mate and
delights him with her culinary abilities.
Gayathri Gopalakrishnan
(a.k.a Gago) works for Siebel Systems in Burlington,
Massachusetts. She is happily married to the love of her
life Anand Rajaram (a.k.a Rana ’92). Gago finds time
to spend with her BITSian friends and is actively involved
in BITSAA activities along with Rana. Gago says “ I’ve just
returned from a lovely vacation, meeting up with Rana’s
wingies in Florida”.
Padmaja Jagannathan
is currently at Mind Tree Consulting, Bangalore, India.
Padmaja writes “ I’m enjoying life in the silicon city and
am on the look out for eligible men”.

Latha Ravishankar who is to be wed on January 24,2003
to Krishna. Latha completed her Masters in Computer
Engineering from Rutgers, The State University of New
Jersey. She now works as a Software Engineer at Avaya, Inc
New Jersey.
Gayathri Subramaniam (a.k.a
Gasubs) is a licensed insurance & mortgage agent. She
says “ I hardly have time to be an agent when I spend most
of my time with my pet Thor”. Gayathri is married to Ganesh.
Janani Varadarajan (a.k.a
Jan) completed her Masters in Molecular genetics and
Microbiology at the University of Texas, Austin and is now
pursuing her PhD in Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue
University. Janani says she and her husband Muthukumar
Balasubramaniam also a doctoral student at Purdue Univ,
spend most of their waking hours doing research!
After a technical writing
stint in the software field, Sagarika Srivatsan (a.k.a
Sagi) is pursuing her M.S in Journalism and Mass
Communications. She writes “Out of the rat-race, I now
juggle time watching my 2 year old, volunteering at the
community center (teaching English to non-English speaking
adults, writing material for a breast cancer awareness
campaign in south east Asian countries) and studying for a
master's degree.” Sagarika lives with her husband Srivatsan
and daughter Vidusha in the Bay Area.
Sayee Priyadarshini
Thyagarajan (a.k.a sayee) is pursuing her Ph.D in
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of
Texas, Houston after completing her ME Biotech at
BITS,Pilani. She is married to Avinash Kalsotra (’95).
Sayee writes in “ Avinash & I just passed our qualifiers,
and now can devote our time to full-time Research!”

Jayant Dhotkar
(Chemical) worked with Reliance after passing out from BITS,
worked with Reliance Industries. He then completed an MBA in
Mktg from Symbiosis, Pune. Currently he is working as an
Area Sales Manager in Perfetti, an Italian confectionery
company. Though he is based in Bangalore he covers part of
AP (Telangana and Rayalaseema). His current MBO is to master
Telegu beyond some unprintable words.
R Ganesh (MMS)
completed his MBA in Finance from Arizona State Univ in 2001
and is working in Santa Monica, California with a Mortgage
Real Estate Investment Trust in Fixed Income Analysis. Here
is one person who is REALLY looking forward to summer.
