He is one of the
world’s leading academicians in the field of Accounting and Finance
and for the past two decades his research has consistently been
featured at prominent academic forums. His research areas include
the Valuation of Financial Information (and Misinformation), the
Role of Behavioral Psychology on Stock Prices and how Corporations
Manage Risk. SP, as he is popularly known, currently holds the
Gordon Y Billard Professorship at the Sloan School of Management at
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is also the Head
of the Department of Economics, Finance, and Accounting at the Sloan
School. SP Kothari also serves on the Board of Trustees of BITSAA
International.
